Rudee Inlet Jet Ski offers a large selection of 1, 2 and 3 person Yamaha Waverunners for you to take out into the Atlantic Ocean. We have the largest riding area in Virginia Beach. Rudee Inlet Jet Ski has been family owned and operated since 1985. Safe and fun for the whole family and conveniently located 2 blocks off the resort strip on Rudee Inlet next to Big Sam’s Restaurant and Raw Bar. Don’t forget the free parking at Big Sam’s.

Please note, we do not accept reservations for jet ski rentals (except for the 9 a.m. early bird special rate). Jet ski rentals are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have over 20 skis available, so there usually is little or no waiting… just show up, hop on and take off!

Jet Ski FAQS
Q: How old do I have to be to rent a jet ski?
A: You must be 18 years old to rent,16 to operate by yourself and 14 years old if you have a valid boaters license. There is no minimum age for passengers.
Q: What is the maximum weight limit for a jet ski?
A: The maximum weight a jet ski can hold is 450 lbs.
Q: Do I have to have a driver’s license to rent?
A: No, just a valid picture id.
Q: How many people can ride at one time?
A: Up to 3 people, but the combined weight cannot exceed 450 lbs.
Q: Do I have to know how to swim?
A: No. Life jackets are worn at all times and we have boats to assist you. Jet skis are watched with strict supervision and someone is always monitoring renters. So in the event you do fall off the jet ski, our trained staff is right there to get you back on safely.
Q: Do we ride in the ocean?
A: Yes. You are led out of Rudee Inlet into the ocean, where you have 1 square mile riding area from 1st Street to 14th street (between the rock jetty and the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier).
Q: Has anyone on a jet ski been attacked by a shark?
A: No. If you see fins around you, they are very friendly dolphins that enjoy flirting and catching waves with jet skiers.
